Hello all you lovely readers!
I would like to begin by apologizing for not updating this past month, honestly speaking, I wasn’t inspired by much. Well the past is the past and now I have decided to start a series called Mind Bites. These will be one-liners or short paragraphs with deep/ quirky meanings and I will post one each week! I hope you all enjoy this! ~ Angie
Who said I was lost? I’m just following the map in my heart.
If I had the power to change the past I would
I don’t care for the consequences
Nor for the unspoken sentences
The past isn’t always good
Taking back something I said
Is not achievable
It’s the game of a turning table
Hopefully happiness waits at the end
I’ll have to carry on
I’ll have to be strong
Forgetting the past
Is the key to make things last.
He handed me the knife firmly, I could feel the difference between the warmth of his skin and the cool touch of the metal. I wasn’t sure if I was afraid or not but the situation was definitely intimidating.
He silently nodded and I walked forward, the knife clutched tightly in my right hand, ready to strike. I headed towards today’s task.
My weapon was sharp enough to do the job quickly but my hands were shaking in fear, If I made a mistake it would all be over.
Taking in a deep breath I took one last step to the counter and quickly began chopping the vegetables, this was my test for becoming a permanent chef at a five-star restaurant and I had to do my best.
Well there you go! Another surprise ending! I hope it was as good as the previous one. Sorry for not posting for so long.
This was based on a quote my father shared with me “If someone hands you a knife, it’s your decision whether you use it to chop vegetables or kill someone”
